Thanks, and Giving… that’s the “Pointe”!

On November 19th, the Joseph P Cory Foundation visited one of their first Gardens of Hope schools, Hammock Pointe Elementary, Boca Raton, FL. In addition to the campus’ actual working organic garden, an overarching curriculum provides education for students, via a variety of fun and impactful lessons.

It is almost Thanksgiving, and on this day, everyone is learning The Legend of the Three Sisters, a native Indian folk tale, as they pick homegrown vegetables and herbs, amending the delicious corn salsa, that will be made and eaten.

The “lesson” should not be lost, as today was truly an exchange that amplifies the message of Thanksgiving and supports our mission.

Please follow the links to see this great event, review the lesson plan, and download a fantastic recipe, to feast on with loved ones.

We wish you all an amazing and bountiful harvest of your own!
