Health and wellbeing is “A Walk in the Park”!

Today the Joseph P. Cory Foundation and PBC’s Riverbend Park, hosted a special group: Veterans.

Everyone walked through the park’s beautiful nature trail, to the amazing Farmstead site. Demonstrations and talks were given by all parties, in their conjoined mission: to support and impact wellness: mind-body-spirit. Whether it be enjoying the physical walk itself, taking in the beautiful butterflies, smelling the pine needles, or spending time at the Garden of Hope, this truly was an opportunity to experience it all.

Nada Cory, walked with the Vets through the garden, and everyone identified vegetables and herbs by sight, touch, and smell. Many Vets look forward to the next opportunity to meets with Mrs. Cory and Riverbend’s staff, and perhaps volunteer to do some more gardening, or experience whatever is in store for them!

The public is always welcome to visit the park, especially during special presentations. Check out everyone’s website and social media pages for more information, or call: 561-501-3538, 561-966-7033 info@josephpcoryfoundation.org
