Sandpiper Shores Elementary School Garden Club received their first “Ready, Set, Grow” Gardens of Hope education from teachers Zarina Fortunato and Kerry Maione.
Students learned about companion planting for pest control, and what grows best together. In addition to some starter plants, seeds will also be planted and charted, for a better understanding of “your food source”.
You can tell by the looks of joy and concentration, these new club members are looking forward to nurturing these plant babies, to see what comes next!
